I volunteer because I want to have a positive impact in my community. Volunteering is a way to help others as well as to help me learn about the experiences of other people.
Molly joined the Board of Directors with Epilepsy Simcoe County (ESC) in early 2018.
She believes that there is importance in bringing awareness and education about Epilepsy in order to reduce the stigma and promote inclusion.
As a Learning Facilitator and Professor in the Community Integration through Co-operative Education Program (CICE) at Georgian College, Molly has met many people living with different challenges, including Epilepsy. On a personal note, Molly shares that her uncle acquired Epilepsy after a traumatic brain injury. All of this has inspired Molly to give back to the community by the courage and the resiliency of the people she has met.
To ESC Molly brings with her a friendly smile, a strong desire to make a difference, and a deep belief in empowering people to discover their voice through self-advocacy.
