Information Session for January 2019
In this session, the importance of mindfulness to health and as a stress reduction strategy will be explored. Using curriculum and tools through the internationally recognized program “Mindfulness without Borders”, participants will be guided through an introduction to mindfulness, have the opportunity to participate in mindfulness practices such as “Tuza”, and engage in a self-reflection.
People are encouraged to dress comfortably.
Please note that the location will be at the Community Room at the Bayfield Mall (beside Pharma Plus).

Our Information Sessions are held the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in either the upstairs Gathering Room at 78 Ross Street or the Community Room in the Bayfield Mall.
Our Information Sessions are open to everyone – whether you have or someone you know has epilepsy, or you are a professional within our community – all are welcome.
This past year we have held several informative evenings; a yoga instructor came with great ideas on stress management through breathing and relaxation, a representative from Simcoe Holistic Health discussed the benefits of using medicinal marijuana and provided us with information on the safe use and side-effects, and a nutritionist talked about the benefits of a proper diet in dealing with depression and anxiety.
We are continuing 2018 and into 2019 with our series of health-and-wellness themed Information nights to stress the importance of understanding epilepsy and what it entails. If there is a topic that you would like to see, please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
