Information Session for October 2018

IEP and Students

Diane FitzGerald, Director of Academics and School Life at Kempenfelt Bay School will be discussing how to best support students who have epilepsy through their IEP.

Please note that the location will be at 78 Ross Street in the Gathering Room.

Fill out the form below to RSVP

Our Information Sessions are held the third Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. in either the upstairs Gathering Room at 78 Ross Street or the Community Room in the Bayfield Mall.

Our Information Sessions are open to everyone – whether you have or someone you know has epilepsy, or you are a professional within our community – all are welcome.

This past year we have held several informative evenings; a yoga instructor came with great ideas on stress management through breathing and relaxation, a representative from Simcoe Holistic Health discussed the benefits of using medicinal marijuana and provided us with information on the safe use and side-effects, and a nutritionist talked about the benefits of a proper diet in dealing with depression and anxiety.

We are continuing 2018 and into 2019 with our series of health-and-wellness themed Information nights to stress the importance of understanding epilepsy and what it entails.  If there is a topic that you would like to see, please send us an email at epilepsysimcoecounty@rogers.com
